水胶（即乳液型丙烯酸脂压敏胶），是丙烯酸脂单体经表面活性剂乳化，在以水为介质下经乳液聚合而得到。与溶剂型压敏胶相比，乳液型产品明显地具有成本低，操作安全，不污染环境等优点。水性双面胶粘带是在基材的两面涂上水胶，再覆以易剥离的离型材料制造而成。
